What’s Inside

What’s in a B12 Shot

A B12 shot is vitamin B12 given as a single injection into a muscle. There’s nothing to swallow and no IV line to set up, so the visit stays short when the shot is all you need, and it’s an easy add-on when you’ve already booked a drip.

How it works

How a B12 Shot Visit Works

From your call to the shot, it usually takes about an hour, and you never have to leave where you are.

  1. 1Any hour

    Call to book

Tell us where you are and whether you’d like the shot on its own or with a drip.

  2. 245 to 60 min

    We head to you

We usually arrive 45 to 60 minutes after you book.

  3. 310 min

    The shot

It takes about ten minutes, and you stay right where you are: on your couch, in your room or at your desk.

  4. 4Done

    Back to your day

When the shot is done, so is the visit. There’s no drive home and no waiting room to sit in first.

Why us

Why Skip the Clinic for a B12 Shot?

A walk-in clinic, a lab or a med spa means getting there and fitting in with their hours. With Las Vegas Mobile IV Therapy, there’s no clinic to drive to: we bring the shot to you, day or night. For a shot that takes minutes, the trip is most of the time it would cost you. Here you skip it. Carry on with what you’re doing until we arrive.

The Science

What Research Says About Vitamin B12

Your body can’t make vitamin B12, so it has to come from food, mainly meat, fish, eggs and dairy, or from fortified foods and supplements (Moravcová, 2024). Where food and a shot differ is the route the B12 takes into your body.

  • Finding 01

    From food

B12 in food is bound to protein. Stomach acid frees it, it pairs with intrinsic factor, a protein the stomach makes, and the pair is absorbed in the last part of the small intestine. Getting B12 from food depends on each of those steps.

    Nielsen, 2012 · Sobczyńska-Malefora, 2021
  • Finding 02

    From a shot

A B12 shot is injected into a muscle, so it bypasses digestion entirely. It doesn’t need stomach acid or intrinsic factor, because it never has to be absorbed through the gut.

    Lacombe, 2024
  • Finding 03

    On a plant-based diet

Plants don’t make B12, so plant foods that aren’t fortified aren’t a reliable source. People who eat no animal foods are advised to get B12 from fortified foods or supplements.

Common Questions

B12 Shot FAQ: Booking and Pricing

Mobile IV therapy visit in a Las Vegas hotel room
Home, hotel room or office.
Still unsure?

Call and ask before you book.

725‑217‑4236
Does arrival take longer at busy times?

It can. On weekend mornings, holidays and convention weeks, allow up to 90 minutes. Where you are matters too: the Strip and Downtown tend to be quickest, and Henderson and Summerlin can run a little longer.

Is there an extra charge at night?

Yes. Visits between 8 PM and 7 AM carry a $99 after-hours fee on top of the price.

Can I pay with an HSA or FSA card?

Yes. HSA and FSA cards both work, and so do Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can friends get a B12 shot at the same visit?

Yes. A group of up to six people can share one appointment with one clinician. Seven or more need two clinicians, so mention the group size when you call.

Should I tip?

It’s up to you. Tipping is customary but optional, and a tip is never built into the price.
