What Is Glutathione and How Do You Get It?

Glutathione is a tripeptide your body makes itself from glutamine, glycine, and cysteine, and it is present in every organ, in the highest concentration in the liver. Las Vegas Mobile IV Therapy delivers it three ways: as a $35 intramuscular shot that takes about 10 minutes, as a $35 add-on to any drip, or as the 1000mg already inside our Mega Myers IV. A licensed nurse brings it to your home, hotel, or office anywhere in the Las Vegas metro, 24/7.

Most people looking for glutathione injections near them are choosing between a pill from a shelf and a shot from a clinic. The reason we offer it as an injection rather than a capsule is not marketing, it is absorption: swallowed glutathione is broken down before it reaches your bloodstream, and the study below measured exactly that. An injection bypasses digestion entirely. What we will not do is tell you what it will do for your body, because that part is not settled.

    Same day

A licensed nurse or NREMT arrives at your home, hotel room, or office with everything needed. Nothing to pick up, no clinic to drive to, no waiting room.

  3. 3

    A Quick Screen First

    A few min

Your nurse checks vitals and asks about your health history, allergies, and any medication you take. This is where we find out whether glutathione is appropriate for you. If it is not, we say so and there is no charge.

  4. 4

    The Shot, or the Drip

    10 to 45 min

The intramuscular shot is a single injection and takes about 10 minutes door to door. If you chose a drip, your nurse places the line and stays with you for about 45 minutes, then packs up and leaves you to your day.

Who Should Not Get a Glutathione Injection?

Glutathione is appropriate for most healthy adults, but not for everyone. Your nurse screens you before every treatment and will decline any visit that is not clinically appropriate.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding. We do not provide elective wellness injections during pregnancy or breastfeeding without clearance from your physician.

  • A known allergy or sensitivity to any ingredient. Tell your nurse about every past reaction to an injection, a medication, or a preservative before treatment.

  • Kidney or liver disease. Check with your physician first. Bring their answer to the visit so your nurse can act on it.

  • Taking prescription medication. Bring your list. Your nurse reviews it during the screen, and orders for our team are written by a nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority.

  • Anyone under 18. Glutathione injections are for adults 18 and older only.

  • Anyone who needs emergency care. This is an elective wellness service, not emergency or diagnostic care. If something is seriously wrong, call 911. We will refer you rather than treat.

Not sure whether glutathione is right for you? Call 725-217-4236 and a licensed nurse will walk you through it. If you are not a fit, we tell you upfront at no charge. This page is general information and is not medical advice; talk to your own physician about your situation.

The Honest Science

What Does Glutathione Actually Do?

Glutathione is a tripeptide built from glutamine, glycine, and cysteine that your own cells produce. It occurs in millimolar concentrations inside cells and is present in every organ, with the highest concentration in the liver, according to a 2023 review in Antioxidants. It takes part in the reactions that neutralize oxidants and help the body process certain compounds. That is the biochemistry, and it is well established.

Will a glutathione injection make me healthier?

We cannot tell you that, and neither can anyone else honestly. Injectable glutathione is a compounded preparation, not an FDA-approved drug product, and the wellness benefits it gets marketed for are not settled science. What is well documented is narrower and more useful: glutathione is a real molecule with a real job in your cells, and swallowing it does not raise the amount circulating in your blood. That is why we offer it as an injection and price it at $35 instead of building a story around it.

EVIDENCE 01

Swallowed Glutathione Does Not Reach Your Blood

Researchers gave seven healthy volunteers a single 3 gram oral dose and measured plasma for 270 minutes. Glutathione, cysteine, and glutamate concentrations did not rise significantly. The authors concluded it is not possible to raise circulating glutathione to a clinically beneficial extent that way.

Where Glutathione Sits in the Body

The FDA has approved no injectable product for skin lightening, and in 2019 it warned compounders that L-glutathione powder labeled "Caution: Dietary Supplement" had been used to make sterile injectables. FDA laboratory testing found excessive bacterial endotoxin, with some results as high as five times the appropriate limit.

What We Will Not Say

Common Questions

Glutathione FAQ: Cost, Safety, and How It Is Given

Filter by topic or open any question. Still unsure? Call 725-217-4236 any time, or read our full list of common questions.

The BasicsWhat is glutathione?
Glutathione is a tripeptide, a small molecule built from three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine. Your own cells make it. It occurs in millimolar concentrations inside cells and is found in every organ, with the highest concentration in the liver, and it takes part in the reactions that neutralize oxidants and help the body process certain compounds.
The BasicsGlutathione IV or glutathione injection: what is the difference?
The difference is the route and what comes with it. An intramuscular shot puts glutathione into muscle tissue, takes about 10 minutes, needs no IV line, and costs $35. In the vein, glutathione is either a $35 add-on to a drip you have already booked or the 1000mg inside our Mega Myers IV at $299, both running about 45 minutes. We do not sell a glutathione-only IV drip, so if you want glutathione and nothing else, book the shot.
The BasicsDoes oral glutathione work as well as an injection?
The evidence says swallowed glutathione is poorly absorbed. In a 1992 study in the European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, researchers gave seven healthy volunteers a single 3 gram oral dose and measured plasma for 270 minutes; glutathione, cysteine, and glutamate did not rise significantly, and the authors concluded it is not possible to raise circulating glutathione to a clinically beneficial extent that way. An injection bypasses digestion entirely. That is the honest reason we offer a shot rather than a pill, and it is not a promise that the shot will produce a particular result for you.
Safety & CareDo you offer glutathione for skin lightening?
No. We do not offer or market glutathione for skin lightening. The FDA has approved no injectable product for skin lightening, and in June 2019 the FDA warned compounders that L-glutathione powder labeled "Caution: Dietary Supplement" had been used to make sterile injectable drugs, with its own laboratory finding excessive bacterial endotoxin in samples, some as high as five times the appropriate limit. We offer glutathione as an antioxidant injection or IV add-on, administered by a licensed nurse or NREMT under the medical direction of Dr. Daniel Olivero, MD.
Safety & CareAre there side effects, and who should not get glutathione?
Any injection can cause soreness, redness, or bruising where the needle goes in, and any injected substance can cause an allergic reaction. We do not provide elective wellness injections during pregnancy or breastfeeding without clearance from your physician, and glutathione is for adults 18 and older. If you have kidney or liver disease, take prescription medication, or have reacted badly to an injection before, tell your nurse during the screen and check with your own physician first. Your nurse can decline any visit that is not clinically appropriate.
Safety & CareWho administers the injection?
Licensed nurses and NREMTs administer every visit, under the medical direction of Dr. Daniel Olivero, MD. Orders are written by Rich Majors, FNP-BC, a board-certified nurse practitioner with Nevada license 821777. The person treating you screens you first, gives the injection, and answers your questions. Nevada license numbers for our nurses are published so you can verify them with the state board.
Pricing & BookingHow much do glutathione injections cost in Las Vegas?
A glutathione IM shot is $35, and adding glutathione to any drip is also $35. The Mega Myers IV, which carries Glutathione 1000mg, is $299 and the Myers' Cocktail IV is $225. A separate product, a patient-specific take-home vial with a one-month supply that you administer yourself, is $75; that is not the same as the in-visit shot, so we label which one every price belongs to. See our full Las Vegas pricing guide for the complete menu.
Pricing & BookingCan a nurse bring a glutathione shot to my hotel or home in Las Vegas?
Yes. A licensed nurse or NREMT travels to your hotel room, home, or office anywhere in the Las Vegas metro and much of Southern Nevada, and we are open 24/7. Book online in about two minutes or call 725-217-4236 with your room number ready. This is an elective wellness service and not a substitute for emergency care; if you have a medical emergency, call 911.
