Wondering whether plain fluids are enough for you? Start with what's in the bag, and what isn't, further down this page.
What's inside
The IV Fluids drip is one liter (1000ml) of IV fluids for hydration, and it's the one drip on our menu with nothing else in the bag. It runs through a small line into a vein while you rest wherever you are.
IV drips & pricing
IV Fluids costs $150, the lowest fixed price of any drip on our full IV menu. The booking deposit and the after‑hours fee are set out beside it, so you can work out a late‑night total before you book.

A $50 deposit is due at booking and is credited to your total, so it isn't an extra charge.
For a visit between 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM, there's a $99 after‑hours fee, and it applies to this drip just as it does to every other.
You can add B12, glutathione or Lipo‑C to an IV Fluids visit for $35 each. None of the three is in the bag, so the drip stays plain unless you choose one.
Your care team
Plain fluids get the same clinical team as every drip on our menu: a licensed nurse or NREMT (nationally registered emergency medical technician) gives the drip, our nurse practitioner writes the order, and our Medical Director provides medical oversight.
Provides medical oversight for every visit our team makes across Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, plain fluids included.
MD · Addiction-medicine background
Spent six years as an ER nurse and now writes the orders for the treatments our team gives, and he can prescribe.

How it works
The drip runs for 35 minutes once the health check is done, and we usually arrive 45 to 60 minutes after you book. If you've never had an IV before, plain fluids are a simple place to start, and the visit follows the same four steps every time.
Book online or call 725‑217‑4236 for now or a set time later, and give us the address where you'd like the drip.
We drive to that address. Addresses near the Strip or Downtown are the quickest for us to reach, and Henderson or Summerlin a little slower.
First comes the health check: vitals, plus your health history, medicines and allergies. Then the liter drips in, right where you are, until the bag is empty.
Your clinician checks that you feel steady before packing up, and the whole visit has happened without you going anywhere.
Before the drip
Your clinician asks about everything below at the health check, before the bag goes up. If any of these apply to you, say so then, or mention it when you book.
Living with heart failure? Tell your clinician first: a liter of IV fluid can overload a heart that already struggles.
Kidney disease or dialysis changes how much fluid and salt is safe for you, so it's one of the first things we ask.
With cirrhosis or other liver disease, your body holds on to salt and fluid more easily, so your clinician needs to know.
Taking a water pill? Say so at the health check: together with IV fluids, it can throw your sodium level off balance.
Lithium, or medicine for seizures or mood? Tell your clinician: IV fluids can change lithium levels and, with some of these, your sodium.
Pregnant, especially with high blood pressure or preeclampsia? Your clinician needs to know, since that raises the risk of fluid buildup.
When people book
People book IV fluids at home after a long flight, a day in the heat, a stomach bug or a long convention day, and fluid is all this bag holds.
Dry, low-pressure cabin air increases the water you lose through your skin and breath over a long flight (Hashiguchi, 2013). Just landed? We can come to your hotel.
Heat and exertion both raise how much fluid your body loses (Sawka, 2005). A summer walk down the Strip involves both.
IV fluids go into a vein, so they don't depend on your stomach (Casa, 2008). If you think it's food poisoning, we also offer a Food Poisoning IV.
Convention days start early and run long. You can book the drip for a set time at your hotel, before the show floor opens or after it closes.
If it's the morning after a night out, look at the Hangover IV, a separate drip on our menu. Booking for a child? The Kids Mini Myers, our IV drip for kids, is $175.
Emergency signs
Any one of the signs below means it's time to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. In the heat, move the person somewhere cool while you wait; if they've been drinking and are hard to wake, roll them onto their side.
Confusion, slurred speech or passing out after time in the heat
A temperature of 103°F or higher with hot, red skin, sweating or not
Chest pain or pressure, especially with sweating, nausea or shortness of breath
Slow or uneven breathing, or lips and skin turning blue, gray or very pale
Hard to wake, a seizure, or fainting without coming round within a minute
Vomiting blood or coffee-ground vomit, or a sudden, severe stomach pain
The science
For a healthy adult who is only a little low on fluids, studies have found that drinking works about as well. What an IV changes is the route and the timing, and our article on when dehydration needs IV fluids covers the cases where a drink isn't enough.
Water you drink starts reaching your blood within about five minutes, though a 300ml glass took roughly 75 to 120 minutes to absorb fully in a study of 36 people.
Péronnet, 2011An IV bypasses digestion entirely. In eight men dehydrated by exercise in the heat, an IV restored blood plasma sooner than drinking the same fluid, but heart rate and heat tolerance ended up the same.
Kenefick, 2006A review found that after exercise, drinking more than you sweated out, with some sodium in it, helps your body keep the fluid rather than pass it straight back out.
